Golf Tournament

For the 15^th anniversary of the establishment of the Canadian Youth Mission of Armenia (CYMA) and the 2^nd anniversary of Hay Doun Family Support Services, the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church of the Canadian Diocese organized its first Golf Tournament on July 11, 2009.

The event took place at the Victorien Golf Club, in Mirabel. More than 95 enthusiastic participants took part in the Golf Tournament fundraiser despite the cloudy and stormy skies. The participants gathered around 11:00am. After coffee and delicious baklava, the crowd hopped into their golf carts abounding with souvenir gifts from our generous sponsors.

From the start, the rain accompanied the players but this did not stop them from having fun and calling the rain “liquid sunshine” or saying “It never rains on a golf course”! However, unfortunately, the rain took strength and turned into thunderstorms. Back at the front desk, we started seeing the golfers returning wet to their socks but with a big smile on their faces.

Soon afterwards we were all welcomed to dinner where a wonderful DJ brought everyone to the dance floor.This was indeed a memorable evening for all.
